Medical Appointment Tips

If you cannot attend in person (someone else drives your loved one): 

At the appointment time, call your loved one and have them put you on speakerphone.  This way you can hear what the provider is saying, and you can ask questions. 

If you cannot attend, ask the provider if you can have the person attending with your loved one record the appointment.

Meet all healthcare providers and attend as many appointments as possible. Like most of life, it is about relationships. If you know the pharmacist, oxygen provider, phlebotomist, etc. it can make a big difference.
