Tips, Tools & Templates for People Dealing with Aging Parents

or Unexpectedly Thrust into Caregiving

The purpose of this site is to provide tools and resources primarily for people caring for aging parents.

Also, many of the tools are helpful for those who have been unexpectedly thrust into a caregiving situation due to illness or injury.

The goal is to leverage the learnings from the community of those who have gone through this process and share best practices to, hopefully, make the journey a little easier.

This site is dedicated to my mother, Sydney, for whom I provided care the last few years of her life.

Tip: Meet all healthcare providers and attend as many appointments as possible. Like most of life, it is about relationships. If you know the pharmacist, oxygen provider, phlebotomist, etc. it can make a big difference.

–Matt B.

Tip: Upload pictures of your loved one with friends and family onto a photo frame or old computer and put it on slideshow. This can also be a conversation starter for caregivers: “Oh look! You visited NYC. How fun!”
